The custom built kitchen includes washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge with large freezer box, microwave, ceramic hob, full size oven and granite worktops.

The first floor bedroom has an oak floor with rug and a king size iron & brass bed with an extremely comfortable Vi-spring mattress and top grade bedlinen. There is a small second TV. The bathroom has a shower over the bath; towels are included.

The living room has cinema sound TV, BluRay DVD player, and Bose CD player, and ultrafast broadband means you can work as well as enjoy the stunning countryside outside your door.

Outside there is a private seating area to the rear of the cottage with steps to a further terrace and lovely views over Win Hill. You are also welcome to use part of the large main garden, including the shared summerhouse on the lawn.

Between the Edale Valley and the Hope Valley, we are surrounded by peaceful pasture and woodland, adjacent to National Trust land with direct access to many local footpaths including “The Great Ridge Walk”. Upper Derwent Valley offers a beautiful day out cycling, cycle hire available locally or there is covered cycle storage available.

Calico Cottage is for two adults and does not accept dogs. There is strictly no smoking either in the cottage or on site. Parking is next to the cottage and can accommodate two cars if required.
